Hello all. It's been years since I've last been on this site. I'm trying to get back into art and hopefully this site might help. As it's been years it should go without saying that I'm a different person, will make art differently, yada yada. To all the friends i had here I'm willing to get back into touch.

A promotional poster for "The Grand Budapest Hotel", another film of Wes Anderson's, described his film-making as "The stories of humans, told in a museum, and watched by the curious eyes of robots". This is an equally surprising and accurate way to describe his movies. They have warmth, but are not told warmly. If fact, there's a certain Aquarian* distance. We are not led to sympathize with one character over the other. Their motives and faults are not justified. This is at a curious clash with the themes of his films:
